New data published by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) shows cases of whooping cough continue to increase with 1,319 cases confirmed in March nationally. This follows 556 cases in January and 918 in February, bringing the total number of cases in 2024 to 2,793.

If you’re aged 56 to 74, you should have received your bowel cancer screening kit through the post. That’s because the NHS automatically sends a kit every two years to people in that age group who are registered with a GP in England. The programme is also expanding to include people over the age of 50.
