Important update
On 21 January 2026 we informed patients that the Sheffield Stoma Ordering Line would be closing on 2 March 2026. We explained that due to new national guidance, South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (SY ICB) was no longer able to provide the service. Since then, the timetable for making these changes has been reviewed and as a result, SY ICB will be able to continue to offer this existing service in the short term further into 2026. Therefore, you do not need to make any changes to the way you order your stoma prescriptions at present and can continue to order from the Sheffield Stoma Ordering Line if you wish. There will be further communication in a few months as to new provision for stoma ordering services.
Your GP has been informed and your current records remain available to the Sheffield Stoma team for future orders. We are sorry for any anxiety this information regarding your stoma prescription ordering process may have caused you.
