In June 2024, NHS South Yorkshire ICB and Social Change launched a survey as part of our ICB's Early Onset Type 2 Diabetes programme. The survey was open to all residents of South Yorkshire who are above 18 years of age and have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, with a particular interest in hearing from people who were diagnosed aged 18-39.

The survey asked people to share their experiences of living with Type 2 diabetes and accessing support services to help them manage their diagnosis.

This insight will be used to help us understand people’s experiences of living with Early Onset Type 2 Diabetes and improve the way support is promoted and delivered to reduce risk of complications and increase accessibility.
