Learning from the reviews of deaths of people with a learning disability and autistic people in South Yorkshire identified a number of areas for improvement.  These areas for improvement have been translated into LeDeR ECHO programmes of learning with each workstream being supported by a project delivery group.

LeDeR ECHO is an on-line method of training delivery designed to:

  • improve health outcomes and develop communities of practice that support service delivery
  • sharing of knowledge and support from professionals and carers within health and social care settings that may otherwise be underserved

It focuses on the use of subject matter experts to deliver key topics,  using real case studies to form the basis of participant discussion.

In South Yorkshire, the Project ECHO Superhub is St Luke’s Hospice in Sheffield, are a key partner in the delivery the LeDeR ECHO Programme.
