Doncaster Same Day Health Centre
The Same Day Health Centre is open every day of the year. Phone lines open at 8am with appointments available from 10.00am to 10.00pm. They can be contacted if you are unable to get an appointment at your own GP Practice on the same day. However, you must ring first to get an appointment; appointments are within 24 hours.
This is an NHS service, staffed by doctors, nurses and other practitioners to treat minor illness and injuries, sore throats, ear ache, sprains and strains quickly.

When your GP Practice is closed (Out of Hours)
When your GP Practice is closed and you need healthcare advice you can contact the NHS 111 service by phone or online (111 or www.111.nhs.uk) where you will be advised of the most appropriate service for your needs.
Calls are FREE from landlines and mobiles. NHS 111 us available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Alternatively, you can access your local pharmacy for self-care advice (please see the Primary Care section for more information) or visit www.nhs.uk to find local services for your needs.

Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for immediate reassurance and advice.
You should call or use the online NHS 111 service if you urgently need medical help or advice but it’s not a life-threatening situation. NHS 111 can connect you to a nurse, emergency dentist or even a GP, and can arrange face-to-face appointments if they think you need one. NHS 111 advisors can also assess if you need an ambulance and send one, if necessary.
